ANDERS M. HANSEN

About

Anders M. Hansen has spent much of his life in the worlds he now writes about.

Born in Copenhagen and based in London, he is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Danish Army who served in various special operations roles before pursuing a career as an international finance lawyer. Today, he advises an international network of clients and remains closely connected to the global security community. He is also a longstanding fundraiser for military charities.

Drawing on decades of experience spanning the military, international law and geopolitical affairs, Hansen brings an unusual degree of authenticity to the shadowy, clandestine world of his Holger Berg thrillers.

In recognition of his work, Hansen was appointed a Knight of the Order of Dannebrog by the Queen of Denmark.

‘Kings Gambit’ was published for the first time in English on 1 October 2024 by Biteback Publishing.

Holger Berg introduces a captivating new protagonist who, like the legendary Holger Danske at Hamlet's castle, Kronborg, is awakened when Denmark is in crisis and whose backstory will unfold across a series of titles. Holger Berg, a former special forces soldier and lawyer, is thrust into the murky world of political intrigue.
